Relìv Foundation Builds Feeding Center and School for Impoverished People in Haiti

July 7 — Relìv International, Inc. (Nasdaq: RELV) today announced that the Relìv Kalogris Foundation dedicated a new feeding center and schoolroom for impoverished children in Bois Lance de Limonade, Haiti. The Relìv Kalogris Foundation is Relìv's charitable arm.
R. Scott Montgomery, chairman of the Relìv Kalogris Foundation (RKF), attended the dedication ceremony, and said, "Relìv Distributors and employees raised the funds for the new building at a charitable walk during our International Conference in St. Louis last August. Their generosity made this building possible."
The Bois Lance feeding center eventually is expected to serve 500 children daily. In addition:
Volunteers built the feeding center and schoolroom using materials bought with funds from the RKF.
The RKF already donates free nutritional supplements to 6,600 malnourished children in Haiti every day, served at 22 locations.
The children receive Relìv Now® for Kids, a supplement that contains a broad base of essential vitamins, minerals and micronutrients necessary for healthy growth.
"The Relìv Kalogris Foundation also supplies free bio-sand water filters to its Haitian feeding programs," said Montgomery. "The bio-sand water filters provide the children with safe drinking water, which is otherwise unavailable."
The Bois Lance feeding center is the second built in Haiti by the RKF; the first was built in Liberale.
RKF charitable walks in 2007 and 2008 in St. Louis raised the funds to build the Haitian feeding centers, along with two more feeding centers built in the Philippines. The next charitable event, called the "Walk for the Mission," is scheduled for Aug. 15, in downtown St. Louis.

Clinical Trial of Relìv’s GlucAffect Published in Phytotherapy Research

Overview:
In the eight-week clinical study, 50 overweight subjects with moderately elevated fasting blood glucose — criteria for metabolic syndrome — were randomly assigned to either receive four daily servings of GlucAffect nutritional supplement or an inactive control product with identical taste, color and texture as a meal replacement. They also agreed to participate in a diet and exercise program.
Test subjects taking GlucAffect lowered their blood fasting glucose by an average of 30%, moving from elevated glucose levels to healthy blood sugar values. The lowered blood glucose was confirmed by the average HbA1c (glycosylated hemoglobin) level, which also moved into the healthy range. No significant glucose lowering was found in the control group.
In addition, those individuals taking GlucAffect lost an average of nearly 16 pounds during the eight-week period, slimming to an extent on average that they achieved their optimal BMI (body mass index). No significant effect on body weight was found in the control group.
That’s real science producing real results — that’s Relìv.
Download the study now and let the world know that GlucAffect offers a proven approach to address one of our nation’s most urgent health care needs.

U.S. Patent awarded for ReversAge Reliv's anti-aging nutritional formula
ReversAge is the sixth product developed and manufactured by Reliv that has received a patent from the United States government. Other Reliv products that hold patents include: Reliv Classic, Reliv Innergize!, Reliv CELLEBRATE, Reliv FibRestore and Reliv Arthaffect.
"Anti-aging research from around the world tells us that something as complex as the aging process requires a multidimensional approach," explains Reliv Executive Vice President Dr. Carl Hastings. "ReversAge combines the best-researched ingredients and the best elements of popular anti-aging theories in a single formula, tackling the effects of aging at every level in the body."
ReversAge is comprised of three proprietary complexes in a simple-to-use powdered supplement. "With regular, recommended use of ReversAge, individuals can expect to see noticeable results month after month," says Dr. Hastings. Story excerpts from The Free Library

A Second Chance at Life

Reliv stories are so amazing. Recently we spoke with a dear lady named Amy who had wonderful results with pain from serious auto accidents and chronic colitis. Read her story you'll be very encouraged.
Amy Manning of Tomball, Texas, has lived with chronic pain from disease and accidents for almost two decades. “I was in a serious automobile accident in 1988 and another in 1998, and went through over 30 surgeries,” Amy says. “I had been taking narcotic pain medication for over 15 years. I also had to deal with several other serious health concerns.”
Amy decided enough was enough and set out to find a way to improve her quality of life. “I watched a dear friend of 27 years, Cathy Williams, regain her health with Relìv, so 7 months ago, I started on the products,” Amy says.
“Today my pain level is much lower than in the past, I sleep well, my energy level is way up and the ‘foggy brain’ feeling is gone,” she explains. “I am living the life I never thought I would have. The thing that’s most important to me is that I get to enjoy my husband again and my grandchildren. God has given me a second chance at life!”
Reliv International Reports First-Quarter Results; New Distributor Enrollments Rise 19 Percent
Reliv reported a 19 percent increase in the number of new distributors joining Reliv in the quarter, compared to the number joining in the first quarter of 2008. During the first quarter of 2009, Reliv enrolled approximately 8,400 new distributors compared to 7,030 in the prior year quarter.
Robert L. Montgomery, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said, "In an effort to increase sponsoring this year, beginning in January we began offering distributors half-price distributor kits. I believe that promotion, which will run through August, helped spur some of the new enrollments we saw in the first quarter."
"The solid increase in the number of new distributors is a good sign for Reliv's future," he said. "Typically, a strong increase in sponsorship leads to sales growth, and we hope to see growth in sales this year. In addition, we plan to increase initiatives designed to help convert our new distributors into Master Affiliates, which are our business builders," Montgomery added.
"During the second quarter, our senior executives, including myself, are planning to visit as many as a dozen cities as a means of maintaining the sponsoring momentum," Montgomery said. Those meetings are expected to highlight the value of the Reliv business opportunity.
